Our Building
David W. Harlan is the smallest elementary school in the Brandywine School District and is home to approximately 400 students in grades Pre-K through five. The historic building is nestled in a quiet residential area of the northwestern section of the city of Wilmington. The building, with its distinctive architectural style, was constructed in 1932 by the DuPont family and deeded to the city. The entire building and campus underwent an extensive renovation during the 2002-2003 school year. The modernization effort has brilliantly blended the architectural beauty of the past with the state of the art technology in design and function.
